Term Dates & Billing

•  Syncopate Studios runs lessons during the NBCS school term, and typically reserves the final teaching week of term for make up lessons. Please note that the school sets teaching weeks.

• Lesson packages are based on full terms; once lessons have been confirmed with the tutor, lesson packages are considered final and refunds will not be offered for change of mind during that term.

• Students are automatically re-enrolled for the next term, and withdrawal for that next term must be made in writing by the final week of the previous term.

• Invoices will be emailed to the supplied email address, and fees must be paid in full by the due date, or lessons will cease until fees are paid. Make up lessons will not be provided for any lessons missed due to unpaid fees.

• Lessons are $51 plus GST per 30 minute lesson. GST is added to all Syncopate services and products.

Creative/Active Kids Vouchers

• Unfortunately we are unable to accept the updated Creative/Active Kids vouchers.

Make Up Lessons, Credits & Refunds

Syncopate’s policy is to make up lessons, rather than credit or refund them. The following details apply to make up lessons:

• Syncopate offers make up lessons if students are absent from a lesson, strictly provided that written notice is received by close of business (5pm) the day before the lesson. If notice is not given by this time, no make up lesson will be provided and the lesson will be considered missed. Notice on the morning of the lesson does not allow for time to shuffle lessons, and thus no make up will be offered unless at the discretion of the tutor.

• It is the parents’ responsibility to notify the tutor of any school conflicts, such as excursions or incursions, so that lesson times can be adjusted around these as much as possible.

• A maximum of two make up lessons per term will be allowed for student cancellations, with sufficient notice, and lessons must be made up before the end of the term.

• Once a make up lesson time has been agreed upon in writing by the parent and tutor, any cancellation by the student will result in forfeiture of that lesson.

• Any lessons cancelled by the tutor will be made up prior to the end of term, or credited if the tutor is unable to make them up.

• Syncopate is unable to offer shortened terms, refunds or account credits due to conflicting events or family holidays.

• NBCS lessons will be run a rotating timetable, so that students don’t miss the same subject each week.

• Primary school students will be collected for their lessons. Secondary students are required to check their daily Compass schedule for their lesson time, and to make their way to the tuition room for their lesson. Lesson times will always be on Secondary students’ Compass schedules by the day before the lesson. Make up lessons will not be provided for secondary students who miss or are late to their lessons.

Privacy

• Syncopate does not share, sell or trade your personal information. We use your personal information to provide you with products and services that you have requested, to notify you of products, services and special offers that may be of interest to you, and to comply with any legal or regulatory obligations imposed on us. To do this we may disclose your personal information to organisations that carry out functions on our behalf. This may include suppliers of products and services such as freight carriers.

Child Protection  & Complaint Management

• Syncopate Studios aims to provide a fun and Child Safe environment for anyone who participates in our programs. We support and respect the children, their families, and our staff. Our staff hold a valid and cleared Working With Children Check and a current certificate in Child Protection Awareness Training, and professional development training is completed as required.

• Parents are encouraged to respectfully approach Syncopate with any complaints.
